Help choose Millswood train times

July 18, 2014

wp5eed4099_05With  Millswood railway station due to reopen later this year, (yes, folks, that’s a firm promise) now  is your chance to have  an impact on the proposed timetable…

Adelaide Metro is calling for public submissions on a timetable that’ll allow extra time in each trip for trains to stop at the long-abandoned station while minimising the impact on other services.

If you wish to comment, go to http://www.adelaidemetro.com.au and select “Announcements”, “News” or “Millswood station upgrade and draft Belair timetable –feedback welcome”.Or you can call the info line on 1300 311 108 or visit an Info Centre at either Adelaide Railway Station or at the corner of Currie Street and King William.

Meanwhile upgrading is taking place at Millswood to raise the platform to reduce the step and gap, ramp modification for improved access, new lighting, shelters, platform furniture and fencing, and an upgraded passenger information system.

Mike, I blogged this story yesterday.
There has been significant interest shown since.
It is excellent that Millswood Station will soon be open (in about 8 weeks) and that trains will stop.
My feedback to AdelaideMetro is that every train on the Belair line must stop.
It can’t just be the occasional train stopping.
