Randolph Avenue’s June target.

March 16, 2015

It’s a bit behind schedule, and two extra elms have had to be removed, but everything should be complete by the end of June…and Council (like Grumpy) is sure that the transformation of the southern side of  Randolph Avenue will be well worth the extended disruption.

In an update to local residents, Council administration has apologised for the time it has taken,  but is confident that the final result will be a showcase site for South Australia.

At present Digit Landscapes are building concrete basins,  an important component in filtering stormwater runoff from Fullarton Road and Randolph Avenue before it reaches Glen Osmond Creek.

“Grumpy” well remembers the public doubts  and dismay when the nearby Windsor Street linear park was being constructed. Randolph Avenue will also be a showcase, and a credit to Council’s commitment to the upgrading of Unley’s limited open space….
