Ex-Premier’s aquatic antics.

August 12, 2015
Hey cabbie!

Hey cabbie!

Good to see that South Australia is not being left behind in the “dash for dollars” stakes.

Today’s “Advertiser” reveals that former State Premier Mike Rann dipped into the public purse while in Venice some time ago.  Seems that the streets were somewhat flooded, and there was only one water taxi left in the stand (moorings?)

Undaunted, our overseas representative  managed to get to various Venetian venues with the aid of the city’s last unbooked aquatic-friendly  cab,  with the meter running along at a brisk few knots.

All in all, the slice of the public purse came to a mere large four-figure sum.

Funny that. I thought all politicians believe they can walk on water…

Our politicians and dignitaries really believe that they are entitled to the good life at our cost.
