West Indies farce.

December 27, 2015

Yes, it’s great to see so many of our batsmen reaching tons and double tons. But surely the gilt is peeling off the gingerbread, given that the West Indies wannabes are pitifully unprepared for the Aussie assault team.

The current tour is fast becoming a futile farce for the calypso visitors, who must be sobbing into their pillows with frustration.

Sure, the exercise may have some short-term benefits for Australian cricket, given the large crowds that seem content to roll up and witness such a one-sided demolition. But I for one wouldn’t be forking out for a five-day event that ends in a three-day fiasco.

Any real contest between nations needs to be meaningful, and too many run=routs Down Under is NOT good for the sport .

Yes, what a farce. The West Indies were batting and during a break I went out to inspect and tie up my cucumbers. When I came back in the visitors were down 6 wickets.

When the cricket is slow, come and visit Bob’s Blog 😉
