Ratepayers beware!

March 14, 2016

Not content with slugging Unley households a whopping 13percent rise last year in its annual rip-off from unsuspecting  ratepayers, it looks certain  that the Natural Resources Management Board is set to repeat (and probably increase) their Ned Kelly act in June.

The tax is used on environmental protection programs including weed control and the battle with pests. To add insult to injury, Unley, which has benefitted little, if anything from the impost, collects the loot from its residents as an “add on” to their residents’ rates demand.

Even worse, it’s predicted that the highway robbery could see rises of up to ….wait for it!…169 percent.

Meanwhile taxpayers could be slugged yet again to meet salary rises of up to $200,00 for public service chiefs, with the top increase going to the education boss cocky…up from a pitiful $397,000 to a measly $637,000. Poor bugger.

To the barricades, citizens.
