Calming Unley’s through traffic.

May 7, 2016

Mission impossible? Perhaps. But hopefully not.

FOCUS, the Friends of the City of Unley Society, will be posing that question to the Royal Automobile Asssociation road safety boss cocky and former Unley Council staffer  Charles Mountain at the Unley Community Centre in Arthur Street, on Tuesday, May 17th.

It will be an opportunity for locals to hear some expert independent views on a matter affecting all who live and pass through Unley every day.

While the State Government promotes a mix of new homes, shops and offices in higher developments along Unley’s main roads, FOCUS claims it is doing so without addressing traffic issues. They want the answers to the way in which competing demands for the use of the arterial roads through the suburb can be solved…with the aim of a more pedestrian-friendly city.

Starting time is 7.30 p.m.
