Double (Blues) vision.

May 15, 2016

Wandered past Unley Oval at 2.30 p.m plus yesterday (Saturday, of course) and stopped to count no  fewer than 200 Sturt hopefuls crammed into the Jack Oatey Stand…

.Will have to have an immediate eye test.

Today’s fish-wrapper alleges that almost 3,000 went through the turnstiles. I suppose they were all crouched down behind those pesky pickets.

I think you have your days wrong Grumpy, under 18 and under 16 played Sunday which would have approximately 200 family and friends watching. Definitely close to 3000 crowd for league game against South Adelaide on Saturday.

Sorry, Peter, but it was definitely Saturday, as the searchlights, barbed wire, tank traps and gun emplacements were in situ to prevent the public from using a public space.

The public were using the public space…..they were watching football. More people using the public space on this day than would have been doing so had football not being played there. What a grand use of the public space.
