Mayor Clyne IS on the move.

July 2, 2016

It’s no longer just a bit of scuttlebutt.

Grumpy rocked up to cast his valuable  federal vote this afternoon, and left with impeccable confirmation  (from a high Liberal source) of Mayor Lachlan Clyne’s imminent move across Anzac Highway , into the State Parliamentary seat of Ashford. Which he has his eye on in a year or two. Or whenever the call is made for the next State election.

The Ashford seat, currently held  by Labor’s Steph Key, takes in a sizeable chunk of the Unley Council area and rumour has it that that chunk could become even chunkier with a redraw of boundaries in the offing…Which could make a change of ownership just a little bit easier…

Just when the official  Mayoral announcement will be made is a matter of conjecture.

Why is the mayor coy and silent on this?
He should be up on the soap box declaring his intention.
Are you angling to be his press secretary? Yr doing a good job at it

Has the Liberal party already endorsed Lachlan Clyne for the seat of Ashford?
Or is it in the bag and just a formality?

      I heard that it’s a done deal.
That why the mayor took his stance on rate capping.
