No. On second thoughts…the photo of the decade.

On page 8 of today’s “Advertiser”.

The wonderful,. wonderful   image of a young woman in a summer dress standing serenely, calmly in  front of a trio of armoured, visored, helmeted  policemen at a Baton Rouge, Louisiana protest meeting.

    Grumpy really?? For superficial reasons, yes, it’s a catching visual. What did she actually do? It appears that Police were looking to clear a road way and she refused to budge. She was arrested without fanfare and spent the night in a lock up. She was later quoted as saying “This is the work of God. I am a vessel. Glory to the most high. I’m glad I’m alive and safe”. Safe from what exactly I’m not sure. The lone protestor in front of the Tiananmen tank she ain’t

      I didn’t delve into the story behind the scene. My comment was that, visually, the shot (oops!) takes a lot of beating…
