Abominable beat-up.

September 19, 2016

It’s taken Grumpy a week or two to calm his angst at the load of old cobblers that was dished up on a TV channel (I can’t remember which one) about the existence of a hairy humanoid who walks the slopes of the Himalayas.

Strands of hair, the odd bone or two, and dodgy photos of the  Yeti were pored over again and again as a so-called scientific examination of the monster  was dragged out for a  in-depth probe…  long on time and short on credibility.

As someone who shelled out a few cents many years ago to stroke the skull of an Abominable  Snowman (it was made of yak hair), I am MUCH  more interested in the  better -documented  but little-known phenomenon of the Bhan Zangri. That’s another hairy humanoid,  this one said to kidnap young village children and turn them (in a couple of days) into all-knowing beings before setting them free.

Don’t spoil our belief in the Yeti.
It’s like saying that Santa doesn’t exist.
We learnt about the Yeti at school and the ongoing discovery of footprints, hair, bones etc. keep the belief alive.
Just maybe, the Yeti is a mutated Yak; that learnt to stood upright.
