Wildlife Parkside

October 26, 2016

Great to see that Unley’s premier suburb (a little bit of bias there) is still proving popular with the natives…

A small group of locals watched this morning as a small furry  inhabitant took up temporary residence in a lofty perch a couple of doors down from  Chateau Grumpy , at the junction  of Blyth and Castle.

Meanwhile the  extensive grounds of CG are attracting rosellas with a taste for coral gum blossom, and mobs of blue tongues are wandering in and out of the undergrowth.

But claims  of sightings of a Tassie Tiger are being dismissed as Skillogalee riesling induced hallucinations.

You obviously have a lizard lounge in your backyard.
A group of lizards is not called a mob; that’s for kangaroos.
A group of lizards is called a lounge; although only a few types of lizards (20 of 6,000 types) live in groups.

Thanks for the elucidation. I wonder what you call a group of councillors? A confusion ?

I have often wondered; often searched for that right word.
I just can’t find one to fit. 🤔
