“Close King William Road” call.

November 2, 2016

…but only on Sundays during the warmer months.

It’s an option that Unley Council is considering, and is looking into the legality of such a move, which would cost $1,500 per day, plus an additional $400 for cleaning and sweeping the street.

The purpose? To provide outdoor dining, entertainment and  trade. Who would pay? That’s something still to be considered. There is also the small matter of confirming the ability to close the street to buses.

More later, folks, as the results of an investigation comes to hand.

No good. This mean no bus on road. How do party people get there?
Maybe have trading on footpath. No need to close road. Good idea.
