Spreading the Vegemite brand.

June 30, 2017

Shame, shame, shame,  Mr “Advertiser” Editor.

THE news of the day, and you’ve tucked it away on page 19, when it should have been given a front-page banner headline.

I’m referring to the great news that our national treasure, having been wrested back by Bega Cheese from American food giant Mondelez at a cost of $460million, is to be aggressively  spruiked in more than 40 countries around the globe.

Bega chairman Barry Irvin deserves nothing less than a knighthood.

Yes, Sir Barry, annointed for services to Vegemite.
That’s one Knighthood that would be accepted by the Australian people.
It’s good to see ownership of Vegemite come back home.
About half the shares in Bega are still owned by Bega’s dairy farmer suppliers.
