World War Two arms caches.

July 5, 2017

For absolutely no reason whatsoever I have just idled away a fascinating half hour trawling through  internet entries  on uncovered  relics of the Second World War.

Unless someone has stumbled across it in the last sixty-plus years there is a major treasure trove of German weaponry still awaiting discovery in a cave in the wooded hills above the southern shores of  Lake Worthesee  near the Austrian city of Klagenfurt.

How do I know? Way back in the 1950s a group of British Army brats (me included)stumbled across  the well-concealed, tunnel-like hiding place…stacked head-high with weaponry.

We swore an oath of secrecy, and to the best of my knowledge that was never broken.
