Antiques guru ahoy.

October 7, 2017

He’s known on television as the gap-toothed antiques expert with a penchant for colourful bow-ties, horribly gaudy waistcoats and a venerable titfer#.

Yes, gentle readers, I am referring to none other than  Mr Tim Wonnacott of TV’s “Bargain Hunt” fame.

While he is no longer ringmaster of that long-running circus, Mr Wannacott is still very much around on the nostalgia stage, and he’s back for his third(?) visit to South  Australia in recent years (a triumphal tour of Strathalbyn’s main street and an appearance at Carrick Hill in more recent times).

This time round he’s off to the Antique Fair at Wayville Showgrounds on the 27th 28th and 29th of October, giving appraisals on the last two days and two lectures in the Collectibles Hall on the 27th.

For more details,  I suggest you contact the  emporium of Scammells…and tell them Grumpy sent you.

# Cockney rhyming slang. Tit-for-tat = hat
